Soon enough we’re going to pick an amount of times to air per month and stick to it, until then vibe with us. Hopefully the background music in some of the sections isn’t too loud.

I am happy that you are back with a new podcast. I downloaded and listened to ALL of your previous podcasts back to back inless than a week and enjoyed them very much.
Sorry for not thanking you for your effort and sharing your opinion on kpop sooner. I agree with 96% of your comments and I am happy that there’s someone that shares most of my opinions on kpop and that the comments tend to be objective.
Good luck and keep on with your good work. I pray Noelle’s troubles will soon be overcome. I wish Noelle and Dame Dr Foxy Brown the best and many blessings for you and your loved ones.
-I dont understand fans. They want kpop to become bigger and be able to hear it on the radio in respective regions but when someone new finally listens to the genre and doesnt like it, they completely go off on them? Also about the wonder girl’s backlash comments, I dont know why fans are acting like that. Music for the most part is for entertainment, especially pop music so why would they complain about a song with about “Like Money”? I dont know anyone who listens to Kpop so they can moved and inspired to change to the world.
-Im glad SBS dropped the ranking system. The biggest problem I had with it is that its almost impossible for any artist to win unless you are with a semi big/big company. The indie group Busker Busker is one of the few artist to sell over 100k in physical sales and did well digitally but they have not even come close to being #1 on a music show which doesnt make any sense if only about 10 artist(that is being optimistic) a year sell that much in South Korea.
-Btw I wanted to post my comment on the forum which I just signed up for but there was no thread for this episode
I, too, recently discovered your podcast and have been enjoying listening to some of the past episodes recently. So, thanks for your hard work.
I think 2NE1 was the first kpop group I was interested in, so I was glad to see that they were putting out new material. Have to say I was a little nonplussed by this lead single though. Even as dance pop it sounds a little dated and too conventional to my ears. Also, in my opinion at least, the styling of the video didn’t do the group any favors, CL in particular.
Was surprised to find out that there was a fan backlash against ‘like money’. Watched the video and thought the whole thing was put together quite well. I think there’s an inherent limitation to how popular an idol group can be in america as that simply isn’t the taste here currently. But there’s little to criticize about what wg are doing. I think part of it is that akon’s voice is really polarizing.
